Mini! Why a Mini?
If you have never driven a Mini before, or only used one to lean
to drive in then give it a go.
Before I drove my Mini I had driven Pug 106, a Nissan Micra and
the Montego. Since getting the mini I've driven Volvos, Rovers,
Hondas and Toyota and I can easily say that non of those were as
much fun to drive.
The
only car I've driven that can match it was a go-cart that was only
inches off the ground.
It may only be 305cm long and 141cm wide but its the best car on
the road EVER!
My drive to and from work is about 12 miles and most of the way
is through twisty country lanes. This is where the Mini excels.
It goes round corners like its on rails. You turn the wheel and
you know straight away you're going to get round, and then you wonder
why you didn't go round any faster. Imagine driving a go-cart with
a roof. That is what its like.
Many times I've had taxi drivers and company reps in their Mondeos
right on my rear bumper through 30mph zones, but as soon as you
get out of it and get to a bend or a roundabout they disappear from
the rear mirror. After all we are talking about a world rally winning
car
SOLD? - Thought You Loved
It?
I did and that's the problem. Greg was the ideal purchase at the
time, my parents advice was don't buy one that is too expensive
as you might not like it and want a proper car. But with the production
of the Mini having stopped on 4 October I didn't have long left
to get my hands on a new one. I was sorry to see him go, but at
least he's gone to someone I know. After owning it for one and a
half hours he said he loved it so I know he'll look after it and
he's "got some plans for it".
The 80's ad said You Never Forget you first Mini.
I wont
Greg was my 1992 BRG Mini Cooper 1.3i. So called due to his registration
of K908GEG. After telling everyone that I wanted a Mini for a long time,
I finally got one. Below is the picture that got me to see him.

Below are just some other pics that I've got.
